Can anyone tell me how to make a old time quilt frame?

The pointers from Jim's Lady are fantastic. I'd love a frame, but don't have a room to put it in. My old granny had one which folded flat and got hoisted up and away in her kitchen. Someone who advertises in Quilter's Newsletter Magazine advertises patterns for build-your-own. Good luck.
