Was anyone else's capacity for compion rotted away by following politics (reposted)?

EVERYTHING influences global politics...the destruction of that rainforest may be destroying cures for diseases, and all human suffering eventually leads to some sort of conflict which often spreads across borders. I agree that "tree-hugging" for the sake of tree-hugging is pointless, but I definitely recommend you dial your liberalism back up a few notches!
