Has anyone taken clomid even if ovulation already takes place?

Hi! I know my answer might not help as much as you'd want to. My doc put me on clomid too. I was not ovulating BUT... last month I started ovulating again. But she said "let's take no chance, cause 1 ovulation in 12 months doesnt give you enough chances to conceive". So I guess if she gave me clomid even tho I had 1 ovulation, it must not be a problem :)
